Our client, the Global Leader in Technology is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Technical Project Manager** with deep experience in big data technologies, particularly Apache Spark, Power BI, and SQL. You will lead the coordination, communication, and project management around runtime versioning, deprecations, customer migration support, and platform updates. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth lifecycle management of runtime versions across the platform. **Job Title: Technical Project Manager – Big Data Runtimes** **Location: Remote** **Type: Contract** **What’s the Job?** + **Project Management of Runtime Releases & Deprecations:** Coordinate multiple versions of Apache Spark runtimes, manage deprecation processes, and oversee cross-team execution. + **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work closely with the engineering, customer success, engine support, and product teams across geographies to ensure customer readiness and support for runtime migrations. + **Communication & Documentation:** Draft and manage internal and external announcements, customer notifications, and technical documentation related to runtime deprecations. + **Adoption Tracking & Reporting:** Use Power BI and SQL to build dashboards, track customer adoption of new runtimes, identify gaps, and escalate issues as needed. + **Customer Support Coordination:** Engage with support teams to identify and resolve migration-related issues, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. **What’s Needed?** + **Experience:** 5-7 years of total professional experience in technical project management or program coordination in a data-centric environment. + **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline required.
