Project Manager - Strategic Initiatives

Role Summary:


The Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for driving high-impact business projects that align with North America’s strategic priorities. This role will emphasize project management discipline, operational execution, and selective application of continuous improvement practices to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities:

Lead strategic, cross-functional projects that support business growth, operational efficiency, and customer value creationDevelop and manage project charters, roadmaps, and timelines, ensuring disciplined execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignmentPartner with regional and global leaders to translate business strategy into actionable projects with clear objectives, milestones, and KPIDrive operational execution by coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations to ensure consistent delivery and performanceUse project management tools and reporting dashboards to monitor progress, provide visibility to leadership, and ensure accountabilitySupport digital transformation, automation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives within North America operationsApply lean and continuous improvement practices selectively (Kaizen, problem-solving workshops, value stream analysis) to strengthen execution and embed sustainable improvementsBuild organizational capability by coaching teams in structured project management and operational excellence practicesEnsure long-term sustainability of projects by embedding outcomes into processes and sharing best practices across sites.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations6+ year's of experience in project management and operations, with demonstrated success in leading multi-stakeholder, cross-functional initiativesProven ability to execute strategic projects in manufacturing, industrial, or process-oriented environmentsExposure to lean/continuous improvement methodologies


Preferred:

MBAStrong project management knowledge, including frameworks, tools, and risk managementAnalytical and data-driven mindset; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau)Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to influence without authority and drive change across matrixed organizationsWorking knowledge of Lean/CI concepts and ability to apply them pragmatically (not as primary focus)Experience working with multinational/global organizationsComfortable operating in a matrix and cross-cultural environment.
