Shipyard Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate marine repair projects, ensuring all objectives are met on time and within budget.

Key ResponsibilitiesDirect daily production activities, including scheduling and prioritizing subcontractor work.Approve project-related commitments within established limits.Monitor financial performance and maintain alignment with budgetary goals.Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment tracking.Manage CFR reporting and document new work opportunities, schedule changes, and delays.Confirm compliance with bid letters and purchase orders regarding timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.Participate in daily and weekly integration meetings and follow through on assigned action items.Provide internal reports such as PSR updates, schedules, and financial summaries to senior leadership.Deliver required customer reports, including weekly progress updates, material status, and project closeout documentation.Attend progress meetings and hold team members accountable for action items and deadlines.Represent the project in key meetings, including Weekly Project Reviews and Change Order briefings.Required SkillsStrong understanding of marine repair pricing and cost structures.Solid grasp of budgeting and funding constraints.Experience reviewing and managing contracts and proposals.Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical guidance effectively.Professional communication skills with a diplomatic approach.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.Minimum of 5 years in the marine industry.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).Proven track record in project management within a shipyard setting.For blasting roles: at least 3 years of experience operating high-pressure blasting equipment in demanding environments, including confined spaces.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
