HIRING: Project Manager - Public Sector/Civil Related

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, construction oversight, and project closeout. You will manage project schedules, phasing, deliverables, and critical-path activities to ensure timely execution. Additionally, you will coordinate daily with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and client representatives while serving as the central point of communication between the field, design teams, public agencies, and internal leadership.

Responsibilities

Oversee cost controls, forecasting, change orders, requisitions, and budget compliance.Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with contract requirements.Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and documentation standards.Support design-build collaboration and facilitate effective coordination between engineers, architects, and construction teams.Ensure all work meets agency standards (e.g., NYCT, MTA, LIRR) and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Prepare and deliver regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills

6+ years of experience as a Project Manager in construction, preferably in public-sector or transit-related projects.Experience working with at least one NYC agency (NYCT, MTA, LIRR).Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, design-build coordination, union environments, and prevailing-wage requirements.Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite).Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project constraints.Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
