Job Description: Technical Project Manager (TPM)

Role Overview

UST is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to manage offshore delivery of Data & Analytics (DnA) portfolio projects. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, on-time, and compliant delivery of data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI initiatives executed by teams.

The TPM will act as the primary delivery owner from the UST side, coordinating closely with Customer onshore stakeholders, UST engineering teams, and third-party vendors. The role requires strong technical depth, disciplined delivery management, and excellent cross-geo communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Offshore Delivery & Program Management

Own end-to-end offshore delivery of multiple DnA initiatives including data engineering, BI/reporting, advanced analytics, and AI/ML projects. Manage delivery across distributed offshore teams, ensuring alignment with customer priorities, timelines, and quality standards. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs, KPIs, SLAs and weekly/monthly status reports. Ensure delivery commitments are met across scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

Technical & Data Delivery Leadership

Work closely with data engineers, analytics developers, platform teams, and architects to understand technical scope and dependencies. Ensure delivery across data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data platforms, data warehouses/lakes, and analytics layers. Validate technical designs and delivery plans against customer DnA architecture, security, and governance standards. Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues impacting delivery. Implement the GenAI based solutions which will improve efficiency and productivity.

Stakeholder & Onshore Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer DnA stakeholders and product owners. Coordinate closely with onshore leads to manage priorities, dependencies, and change requests. Facilitate regular governance forums, sprint reviews, and executive updates. Proactively manage expectations and escalate risks/issues with clear mitigation plans.

Agile & Ways of Working

Lead Agile delivery across teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Support backlog grooming, estimation, and sprint commitments in collaboration with product owners. Track delivery metrics such as velocity, burn-down, predictability, and defect trends. Drive continuous improvement in offshore delivery efficiency and quality.

Vendor, Resource & Financial Management

Manage resource plans, capacity, and skill alignment across DnA projects. Track effort, utilization, and delivery forecasts in line with contractual expectations. Support commercial governance including invoicing validation, scope management, and change controls.

Risk, Governance & Compliance

Identify and mitigate delivery, dependency, and operational risks early. Ensure compliance with Customer governance, data security, privacy, and audit requirements. Maintain delivery documentation and audit readiness artifacts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in IT project or program management. 4+ years of experience managing offshore delivery teams for data and analytics initiatives. Strong understanding of data engineering, analytics platforms, and cloud-based data solutions. Proven experience delivering projects in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience delivering DnA programs for global enterprise clients. Familiarity with modern data stacks such as Azure (ADF, Synapse, Databricks), Snowflake, Power BI, or Tableau or Sigma. Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI initiatives is a plus. PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or similar certifications.
