Project Manager / Estimator

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s Bellingham, MA office and the surrounding job sites.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 5 years of heavy civil construction experience and hands-on estimating experience using B2W/Agtek (or similar).

Our client is a well-established heavy civil construction company specializing in sitework, utilities, earthwork, paving, and roadwork projects across Massachusetts. With a reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects safely and efficiently, they are seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to oversee projects from bid through completion.

Job Description

Manage all phases of heavy civil projects, including sitework, utilities, paving, and drainage Lead the estimating process: prepare final estimates, perform detailed quantity take-offs, and analyze bid documents Coordinate bidding activities and attend pre-bid meetings with clients and subcontractors Evaluate subcontractor quotes and perform cost comparison analysis (subcontractor vs. self-perform) Develop and maintain construction schedules, budgets, and manpower plans Review contracts, change orders, and invoicing for accuracy and compliance Communicate with clients, engineers, and vendors regarding project requirements and clarifications Supervise and motivate project staff, providing guidance to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution Conduct project inspections and oversee quality control throughout all phases Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety policies

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (site/roadwork, utilities, paving, drainage) Strong estimating experience with B2W Estimate, B2W Track, AGTEK, or similar software Construction-related degree or equivalent field operations background Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure projects and construction methods Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proven leadership experience managing staff and subcontractors Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain) and valid driver’s license Ability to pass a CORI background check and pre-hire drug/alcohol testing
