Description We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential and light commercial restoration and remodeling projects in Traverse City, Michigan. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality results. Responsibilities:
• Manage restoration and remodeling projects from the completion of initial dry-out through final build-back stages.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, materials, and labor to ensure timely and efficient completion.
• Coordinate and supervise internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and internal staff throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including job tracking, change orders, and cost management using company systems.
• Uphold building codes, safety regulations, and company procedures on all project sites.
• Provide hands-on support by assisting with repairs, resolving on-site issues, and filling operational gaps when needed.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable subcontractors to build a dependable network.
• Coordinate scopes of work, timelines, and expectations with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality and pricing standards. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing construction projects, ideally in restoration or insurance-driven rebuilds.
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction processes, including remodeling and repair sequencing.
• Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software is highly preferred.
• Ability to review and manage estimates, scopes, supplements, and change orders effectively.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects without losing attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and capability to travel locally between job sites.
• Proficiency in formal project management practices and tools, including Project management software.
