Job Title: Project Manager - Robotics Industries

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee programs related to data centers and artificial intelligence. This role involves managing projects from purchase order to installation, ensuring timely and successful completion while meeting financial targets. The Project Manager will initially work onsite in Auburn Hills, with subsequent travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

Ensure the targeted project margin and cash-flow.Coordinate the completion of unresolved issues and obtain preliminary and final acceptance certificates.Close all purchase orders and contracts associated with the execution of the project.Deliver product or systems solutions to customers that meet defined specifications, schedule, and budget.Complete order booking packages per compliance requirements within responsiveness targets.Determine the best way to execute orders in alignment with operations strategy and customer requirements.Collaborate with production, purchasing, planning, and other functions to meet customer requirements on scope and delivery.Respond to sales/customer inquiries within 24 hours regarding order status and other inquiries.Meet project/P&L financial targets and lead project reviews.Lead the project team by defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring resources.Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources to the operations manager.Define project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.Ensure project follows execution best practices and policies.Monitor and control project progress, financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.Ensure formal project closure and acceptance by the customer.Apply contract and claims management consistently.Coordinate with Supply Chain Management and procure required services, materials, and equipment.Ensure project compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Essential Skills

7+ years of Project Management experience.5+ years of experience in automation.Experience with data center projects or AI-related projects.5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel and SAP.Expert level Excel skills, including advanced formulas and dashboard creation.Autonomy and complex problem-solving skills.Experience managing $50M programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience working with or being a PM for Automation projects.Previous experience with data centers/AI companies on projects.Previous robotic experience is a plus.High School Diploma is required.

Work Environment

The role is based in Auburn Hills with travel up to 25% to client sites. Initially, the work will be onsite, followed by field visits to support installations. This is a temporary-to-permanent position with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with some flexibility. The work involves managing multiple projects simultaneously in a non-automotive industry group, collaborating with various Project Managers and Jr Project Managers.

This is a Contract position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $70.00/hr.
