We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our retail studios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing architectural projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to schedules. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, and the capacity to manage client relationships effectively.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure the accuracy of construction documents by marking corrections and preparing them for review, bidding, permitting, and construction.Identify, research, and develop solutions for technical and design challenges.Perform code research to ensure all necessary codes are applied to design solutions and construction documentation.Manage the permitting process from start to finish.Coordinate projects with all outside project consultants and vendors.Conduct site observations and prepare site visit reports.Oversee the Construction Administration phase, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and participating in OAC calls.Communicate clearly and professionally, both in speech and writing.Write reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions.Review and redline completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for coordination and compliance with project scope.Participate actively in project reviews regarding costs, budgets, and schedule adherence.Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.Lead projects by setting priorities and assigning tasks.Collaborate with team members, offering technical expertise and guidance.Mentor, train, and coordinate the work of teammates.Ensure design and quality control reviews occur at designated project stages.Assist in scheduling and meeting project deadlines.Maintain positive relationships with clients and keep them informed about project progress.Coordinate professional service contracts and participate in client relationship meetings.Understand project schedules, scope changes, budgets, and proposals.Participate in monthly billing processes alongside the Team Lead.Essential SkillsAbility to produce full sets of construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD.Prior experience managing a commercial architecture project independently.Experience in architecture, construction administration, project management, drafting, and schematic design.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies, B.Arch, or M.Arch.4-10 years of experience in an applicable role requiring documentation, project management, and people management support.Additional Skills & QualificationsLicensed Architect (preferred).Prior experience working on retail/restaurant projects.Experience supporting SD, DD, and CD phases.Ability to maintain and achieve quick project turnaround times.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is hybrid, requiring two in-office days (Tuesday & Wednesday) with an occasional Thursday once a month. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.69 - $37.50/hr.
