The Operations PMO is responsible for maximising BDOs change investment; helping deliver Change in the most effective and efficient way; track, record and report on expectation, help build change delivery capability across the firm; and bring in teams to help the firm deliver.

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value. 

We're looking to recruitment a Project Manager to undertake the following.

Role Purpose:

Initiate and actively manage a portfolio of projects ranging from small through to medium sized, multi-streamed projects with strategic and/or commercial impactWith support from the Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager, initiate and actively manage large, multi-streamed projects strategic and/or commercial impactWorking with key stakeholders to understand inflight and emerging requirementsThe day to day management of projects being the ‘voice of the business’ into themHelping plan and design ‘outcome focused’ projects, monitoring progress against agreed parameters, identifying key risks, resolving issues and initiating timely corrective actionDeliver key activitiesEnabling project Sponsors to focus on setting direction, providing SME input, building advocacy and removing blockersOperating within and assist in maturing the Change Minimum Standards


Key Responsibilities:

Understanding the inflight and upcoming changes in project business requirements(s)Day to day management of the project(s)Define the project's governance framework (including 'hooking' into portfolio / programme governance)Ensuring underlying workstreams are coordinatedResolving risks and issuesSupporting individuals on the project(s)Ensuring project integrity and coherenceMonitoring project(s) budget, monitoring expenditure etc.Liaison with design authority / architecture teams / other IT teams / risk / dependent projects and product teams / suppliersEnsuring outputs meet requirements within time, quality, cost constraints (and timely escalation of risks if not)Ensuring efficiency of resourcesLiaise with 3rd parties / drafting workpackages as requiredRegular reporting to your sponsor and other governance forumsEffective stakeholder engagement (in liaison with sponsors)Working with Business Readiness to prepare and equip the business to absorb change into their operational spaceActively support assurance activities


You'll be someone with:

Excellent stakeholder management - Understanding and empathy of stakeholder drivers and goalsExperience of Project Planning (incl. dependency and capacity management)Experience of Project Delivery /Workpackage OversightExperience of Delivery and Governance FrameworksExtensive experience of change delivery approaches (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)Understanding of Objectives and Key Results (OKR)/Benefits trackingExperience of developing and embedding ‘right-sized’ change delivery and governance (aligned to portfolio and programme governance) to suit the project and stakeholder needsService management concepts and frameworks an advantage (e.g. ITIL)Organisational governance structures and associated relationshipsAbility to understand the content of current and emerging portfolio of change and how it adds valueCorporate processes and procedures (e.g. Governance, Finance, HR, minimum standards) and associated language / culture experienceExperience of Workday HCM, Workday Finance or MSD CMS an advantageExperience of a professional services environment an advantage
