We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to create project charters, review system configurations, and lead project execution to ensure alignment with scope and objectives. The ideal candidate will develop and communicate changing instructions, create invoicing templates, and manage project schedules and budgets to ensure successful project completion.
ResponsibilitiesCreate project charters and review system configurations with the Application Engineer and Lead Project Engineer.Develop and communicate changing instructions for hours and expenses for the project team.Create T and E summaries for project invoicing templates.Conduct customer kickoff meetings and internal kickoff meetings with key individuals.Facilitate Function Specification with project team assistance.Manage technical and financial project issues.Update project schedules with all internal departments.Conduct project team meetings to review current status, technical, and financial issues.Report on project schedule and budget with actuals and forecasts to business management.Initiate project phases including hardware design, drafting, purchasing, manufacturing, and testing.Lead customer status meetings throughout the design and commissioning process.Coordinate and develop Factory Acceptance Test Plans and lead customers through formal tests.Essential Skills3+ years of project management experience in industrial/automation, plant maintenance, and plant engineering.Experience with electrical engineered systems and solutions engineered orders.Understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical, hydraulic, and installation documentation.Proficiency in leading a team and managing individuals.Understanding of customer relationships and project interactions.Additional Skills & QualificationsAptitude in electrical and mechanical devices related to metals industry automation (PLCs, AC/DC drive equipment, high voltage and interface devices).Basic PLC programming, HMI systems, high voltage equipment, and automation techniques.Experience in electrical construction.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Work EnvironmentThe role primarily involves working in an office environment with occasional visits to the shop floor. The position is onsite five days a week. Travel is required 15-20% of the time, with increased travel towards the end of the project. The team size is between 4-6 people, managing 5-7 projects simultaneously. Projects range from $50,000 to $5,000,000, with a duration of up to 9 months. Company vehicles or car rental/mileage reimbursement is provided.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
