Job Description We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee construction and facilities-related projects. This role involves managing projects focused on buildings and building equipment, working closely with the Facilities organization. It is an individual contributor position with no direct reports, requiring hands-on involvement from planning through execution across multiple sites. + Manage construction projects for facilities, supporting functions like data, cabling, and infrastructure. + Lead projects from planning through execution as a hands-on Project Manager. + Oversee projects across various sites, including a 1.2 million sq. ft. manufacturing plant, large lab space, newly secured office building, and two airport locations. + Support a $13 million airport runway refurbishment project. + Coordinate with landlords for office build-out tasks such as painting and furniture installation. + Partner with internal stakeholders on office relocation efforts upon project completion. Qualifications + Strong construction-focused project management experience. + Expertise in planning, budgeting, resource management, and timeline control for large, complex projects. + Proficiency in MS Project and the full Microsoft Suite. + Familiarity with AutoCAD for reviewing technical drawings. + Experience with Jira and managing formal down-select processes. + Ability to coordinate contractors, manage risks, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive projects to completion. + PMP certification and experience in Aerospace & Defense environments are highly advantageous. + Facilities or construction Project Manager with strong initiative. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. + Strong stakeholder management skills. + Experience in aerospace, energy, automotive, or life sciences industries. Work Environment The position is based out of Poway, CA, with occasional travel to airport locations in the desert near Palmdale and Victorville. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format. The team includes six planners and will soon expand to include six industrial engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Poway, CA.
