We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee small and medium-sized aviation fueling projects. The role involves managing all project communications, including technical and administrative aspects, while monitoring and managing project schedules, budgets, and resource needs. The Project Manager will participate in developing engineering reports, exhibits, calculations, and designs as needed, assist with document control activities, and support construction administration services.
Responsibilities
+ Manage all project communications, both technical and administrative.
+ Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
+ Develop engineering reports, exhibits, calculations, and designs.
+ Assist with document control activities.
+ Support construction administration services, including handling RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and other documents.
+ Participate in internal and external project coordination meetings and construction observation site visits.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree.
+ 5+ years of experience in project management and construction management.
+ Experience with EIT, AutoCAD, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and pipeline construction.
+ Background in fuel systems, or power/O&G/industrial infrastructure (rotating equipment, welded piping, tanks, valves).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with aviation/airport fuel pipeline engineering.
+ Open to candidates who have been engineers and wish to transition to a Project Manager role.
Work Environment
The position is based at an engineering firm in Garden City, overseeing aviation fueling projects at JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports. The role offers a hybrid schedule with Mondays and Fridays at home, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in-office. Employees enjoy 15 days of PTO and 7 holidays annually. The firm has a backlog of projects, ensuring ample work opportunities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garden City, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92/hr.
