We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to assist in federal grant and loan application submission efforts. The ideal candidate will support the Grant Submittal Manager and the LPO Contract Manager in various project management activities. This role involves the coordination of various tasks, management of project timelines, and diligent tracking of progress to ensure that all activities related to grant and loan applications are completed on schedule. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the workflow, monitoring milestones, conducting follow-ups with team members, and ensuring that each task is executed within the agreed-upon timelines. By maintaining a clear focus on deadlines and deliverables, the Project Manager will facilitate a seamless submission process, ultimately contributing to the successful acquisition of federal funding.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of federal grant and loan application tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.Collaborate with the Grant Submittal Manager to gather, organize, and maintain all necessary documentation for grant and loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Develop and maintain project timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely submission of applications.Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the application process.Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may arise during the application processes.Prepare regular updates and reports on project status, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions to keep the project on track.Provide administrative and project support to the Grant Submittal Manager in preparing and submitting grant applications.Provide administrative and project support to the Federal Loan Manager in preparing and submitting Federal Loan applications.
Essential SkillsProject management experience, preferably in grant writing or federal funding applications.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Familiarity with federal grant and loan application processes, as well as relevant regulations and compliance requirements.8+ years of experience working with Federal Grants.Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's Degree would be advantageous.
Work Environment

This position is 100% remote but requires residency within an AEP Territory. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and project-related activities. The Project Manager will work closely with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure the successful submission of federal grant and loan applications.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.50 - $40.50/hr.
