Description and Requirements The Project Manager, Medicare will manage small to large enterprise-level projects that have department or enterprise-level importance, moderate to high risk and risk interdependencies, several interrelationships, and moderate to high costs associated with delivery. They support projects of major complexity as part of a program team in support of higher-level project or program managers. The Project Manager, Medicare will work collaboratively with the Sales & Retention and Enterprise Delivery Services teams across multiple functional areas, to align resources and effort around the achievement of Healthfirst’s Medicare Strategic Growth Plan. Success will be driven by ensuring strategy and business needs are effectively communicated to delivery partners and ensuring that project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts are completed on schedule and to budget, while building and maintaining strong relationships in sales and our matrix organization. Organizes and leads the project team through the entire project life cycleServes as the main point of contact for all the enabling tools and technology (software and hardware) that support the Medicare Sales and Retention teamWorks with internal and external constituents as applicable to ensure business needs are clearly articulated and understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the businessIdentify business requirements (e.g., tech, infrastructure) working with Medicare Sales Management and Agents in the field to understand and prioritize their needsAnalyze current technology needs, identifying new opportunities, and recommending solutionsServe as a point of contact for all supporting platforms, representing all Medicare sales business end users and leadershipConducts project estimate sessions with project stakeholders to drive project estimates and challenges estimates where appropriate to ensure accurate effort estimates by functional areasCreates and maintains a detailed project plan for all aspects of the project based on delivery methodology and project impacts to secure tasks and datesManages project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budgetCreates and manages the artifacts required for governance approval for medium to large-scale projectsEstablishes and actively manages all project and key stakeholder expectations and relationshipsManages deliverables from all functional teams ensuring they meet the defined timeline and quality based on project guidelinesTailors the use of specific project management techniques to each assignment (e.g. emphasizing risk management, or change management)Reports status to the Project Sponsor, and escalates changes, issues, risks for resolution as neededCollaborates with resource managers to acquire the resources necessary to produce the project on time and within budgetAchieves project objectives in conformance with Healthfirst project management methodologies and standards.Additional duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experienceIndustry work experience in healthcare such as hospital, managed or long-term care, insurance, government or other healthcare agencyExperience managing cross-functional projects that yielded meaningful resultsExperience engaging and communicating with key stakeholders including senior-level leadershipExperience with project change management, portfolio risk management, project communication management and organization change management
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited institutionExperience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environmentExperience in managing or working on projects across multiple departments using an SDLC methodology and Agile/Scrum methodologyExperience in managing a team of people and/or in leading a team to achieve resultsKnowledge and/or experience with multiple Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated TestingExperience with application and/or systems implementations or upgradesExperience using an enterprise project management system such as MS Project Server and MS ProjectKnowledgeable of Department of Health (DOH) and Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations

Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $103,400 - $149,430
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $88,700 - $131,920
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
