Job Description
We are currently looking for a Project Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing site in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork. ( Day shift role).
The Project Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities related to assigned projects. This role supports project execution by ensuring equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently, safely, and according to project schedules and quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
Carry out tasks assigned in a timely and effective manner
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and/or systems related to project activitiesInstall, modify, and commission equipment and systems as part of new or ongoing projectsTroubleshoot equipment failures and system malfunctions; identify root causes and implement solutionsSupport project teams during planning, execution, and close-out phasesRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work ordersEnsure maintenance work complies with safety regulations, company standards, and project requirementsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairsCoordinate with contractors, vendors, and other technical teams as requiredAssist in testing, inspections, and system handoversIdentify improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and project efficiencySupport FATs/SATS and commissioning worksAll other maintenance related requestsProcurement and spare stock
Identify and maintain spare parts and tools, to ensure timely maintenance of plant & equipmentProcedures and Training
Prepare and update assigned SOPs.Be familiar with and adhere to Engineering department SOPs and those of other departments as relevant.Apply Problem Solving Skills
To Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctionTo take a lead role in maintaining plant power supply and distribution.Become familiar with plant electrical/Mechanical supply and distributionBecome familiar with all process and utility equipmentQualifications
Craft Qualification in electrical or mechanical trades2 - 3 Years experience in pharmaceutical industry or equivalent English Fluent written & oral.
