The Engineering Project Leader works with global stakeholders to support our globally installed product base. In this role you will lead several Product Design Change initiatives for Baxter’s Platform Engineering and Architecture products. You will be expected to manage Design Change Projects from proposed initiative inception to final production implementation and market rollout.
Job Responsibilities
Create the project plans including objective, scope, execution path, assumption, risk, schedule and resource needs.Deploy metric-based project tracking.Manage each project’s scope and timelineCommunicate project progress to global stakeholders.Identify, mitigate, and manage project and technical risks following risk management processes.Lead and participate in the development of project strategies and reliable technical solutions that meet requirements and inputs.Execute engineering change control efforts per established processes and manage the deliverables per Baxter New Product Development (NPD) requirements.Continuously reviews program progress, proactively identify risks and collaboratively develops and drives risk mitigation efforts.Interacts frequently with all levels of internal management as well as across functions and business units.Participates in interactions with customers and regulators concerning product design, systems and processes.Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects that may span multiple sections or departments with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.Responsible for adherence to specifications and procedures that have been established to ensure product quality.Develops long term plans for product development proposals.Qualifications & Skills
Previous Sustaining Engineering and Project Management experience with demonstrated success leading multi-site activities.Strong product development background having led the development or participated in product development project end to end, i.e. from concept to production launchHas good technical acumen, understanding of software applications – Cloud based applications / linux / Kubernetes / Data AnalyticsStrong Communication Skills, Enthusiastic, must be self-driven , Metric Focused, understands incremental delivery and the value of metrics.Demonstrated experience working with vendors with different models of engagement.Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in managing a cross-functional team.Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issuesIn depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for Design, Development, V&V and Manufacture of Medical products.Budget management skills – Finance, project expenses etc.Education/ Experience:
Strong engineering background with at least a technical Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, ITor Electronics).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project or program management, and 5 years’ hands on experience in software development/testing.
Project Management knowledge including Agile methodologies, preferably with current certification
