**Description**
Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) POWER Division is looking for a well-rounded and driven Project Engineering Manager in the Mumbai Office. The POWER Division focuses on power generating facilities, which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. This position is responsible for providing a full range of project management services on various POWER projects. Demonstrate independent decision-making skills in handling a multidisciplinary
project execution team by coordinating with consultants or client(s). The position will require extensive interface with project managers, engineering disciplines, modelers, designers, and detailers locally in the Mumbai office as well as remotely with construction, design leads, and project management teams
The PM/PEM will be responsible for Engineering activities on more extensive and complex projects, especially combined cycle projects. Their responsibilities are as follows: -
+ Build trust and positive relationships between the working engineering teams and foster a culture of continual improvement.
+ Ensure proper implementation and application of the work share methodology and work processes. Promote operational-level teamwork in support of successful work share
+ Ensure discipline, technical work, and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, statutory, Customer specs, local/global standards and design integrity requirements
+ Participates in project execution strategy and planning. Drives innovative solutions and technological advances. Develop engineering plans to support successful project delivery. Review estimates and provide inputs for efficient utilization.
+ Resource loading and skill requirement is well aligned with department managers. Mentors/trains, and supports the process of training
+ Drives the engineering leads to execution within the design criteria and discipline budgets.
+ Conduct/Participate in/coordinate teams' participation in Q2 review, IPPM, and Model review. Follow up on Action Item List and Clash list. Circulate Minutes of Meetings to stakeholders. Work closely with the CAD coordinator on the above aspects.
+ Ensure all design engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standards regarding cost, safety, time and performance.
+ Plan and manage Engineering data systems, specs and standards, models, procurement specifications and collaboration tools
+ Develop engineering strategies and a plan to support early procurement and construction
+ Establishes and enforces the Division of responsibility of engineering allocated to BMI. Responsible for project quality and tracking project quality reviews
+ Assists the Project Manager with all required reporting, risk evaluation during the engineering phase, Engineering Change orders and schedule Impact log.
+ Assist PMs on Participation in Monthly Review Meetings and Engineering progress update. Assist the Project Controls Manager in the Updation of the Project Schedule.
+ Ensure Lessons learned from past projects are reviewed and implemented in current projects, making sure Knowledge Capture Tool for the current project is logged.
+ Assist Project Manager/Department Managers on the team’s performance feedback.
+ Implement the Project Design Manual & Project Quality Assurance Plan for the entire duration of the project.
+ Maintain drawing logs (engineering and vendor submittal drawing lists).Verify that all appropriate design documents have been reviewed as required, including Owner review, and that the approved drawings are followed in the execution of the work. Take corrective action where necessary to prevent and/or resolve deficiencies in the quality of work, project activities, and the project schedule
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering from an accredited program.
+ Experience –10-15 Years as Project Engineer/Project Manager or Discipline engineer with at least 5 -7 of leading the Project
+ A proven track record of managing big facility projects from the conceptual design phase through commissioning is a must.
+ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have an inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn new skills, technologies, and systems.
+ Must be self-motivated and show initiative to continually improve upon the systems and processes used for managing projects.
