**Position Overview**
**Our client is seeking a** **Project Engineer II** **to support capital maintenance and operational projects across the Prairie Region. This role focuses on the safe and efficient execution of projects including equipment repair/replacement, tank inspections, civil repairs, and environmental monitoring.**
This is a mid-level engineering role ideal for candidates with **4–7 years of experience** in project engineering, preferably within the energy or infrastructure industry.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Project Engineering**
+ Finalize project design and scope in compliance with company standards and risk mitigation strategies.
+ Prepare RFPs and evaluate consultant qualifications.
+ Participate in design reviews and manage change processes.
+ Review isolation, inspection, and test plans.
+ Address safety and operability concerns through engineering practices.
+ Ensure proper documentation is developed and submitted.
+ Approve Alternate Isolation job plans per internal safety policies.
**Project Execution**
+ Contribute to regional capital and operating project planning.
+ Identify resource needs and key stakeholders.
+ Develop execution schedules aligned with outages and milestones.
+ Finalize permits and regulatory applications.
+ Lead procurement and contractor selection.
+ Oversee safe and compliant project execution.
+ Develop job/work plans for successful implementation.
+ Ensure quality documentation and asset handover.
+ Confirm constructed assets meet sponsor and operational requirements.
+ Manage project closure per lifecycle process
**Scope of Work**
+ Design and execute capital and operational projects to ensure reliability and safety.
+ Provide technical solutions to operational and maintenance challenges.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
+ Provide monthly project updates to management.
**Candidate Qualifications**
+ Post-secondary degree in Engineering.
+ 4+ years of relevant experience.
+ Familiarity with Enbridge standards and manuals is an asset.
+ Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
+ Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
+ Effective team collaboration and time management across multiple projects.
