Project Engineer – Data Center

Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI

Schedule: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction activities on a large-scale data center project. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission‑critical environment. You will assist with project planning, documentation, procurement, coordination, and field support to ensure the project stays aligned with specifications, safety standards, schedule milestones, and quality expectations.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with reviewing and managing electrical construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersMaintain organized logs and documentation to track project progressCoordinate with vendors, engineers, GC/CM partners, and field supervisorsSupport BIM/VDC efforts including model updates, clash resolution, and design modificationsWork with project teams on electrical constructability and design clarificationAssist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecastingSupport job billing, takeoffs, and estimation activitiesEssential SkillsProject managementConstruction managementProject engineeringElectrical systems knowledgeRFI & change order managementStrong understanding of electrical drawings and construction practicesExcellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to collaborate with field crews, engineering teams, and general contractorsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in electrical contracting or electrical engineeringExperience with data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or large industrial projectsProficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, Navisworks, or similar toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesWork EnvironmentFast‑paced, highly technical environment supporting mission‑critical electrical infrastructureJob Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
