Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
As an Project Engineer specializing in Project Controls, you will support project managers by developing and maintaining accurate budgets and schedules. You will monitor project progress to ensure alignment with financial and timeline goals, and coordinate project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams. This role will be on-site for large power generation projects, specifically gas to power plants.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain accurate budgets and schedules for projects.
+ Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with financial and timeline goals.
+ Coordinate project activities to promote efficient execution and communication across teams.
+ Handle the paperwork aspects of project management, including invoice compilation, budgeting, forecasting, and other documentation.
+ Engage in cost analysis, change orders, reporting, and other project management tasks.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
+ 2+ years of construction experience in a project management-related role.
+ Experience with a large amount of construction documents and the organization of them.
+ Understanding of basic accounting aspects of a construction project.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Familiarity with project management and cost control systems.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Ability to interpret data to drive process improvements.
+ Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team and independently under deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in invoice compilation, cost tracking, and forecasting.
+ Comfortable with repetitive detailed work and paperwork.
+ Willingness to engage directly with site staff and gather necessary information.
Work Environment
You will work on-site at a large construction site, primarily in a job trailer. The work schedule consists of 6x10 hour days. The project involves a power plant type project to provide power for data centers in Ohio. The environment is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and extensive collaboration across teams. The position offers opportunities for long-term growth, with a strong training program pairing new engineers with project managers. The role may require occasional travel to different project locations, primarily in the Midwest and Wisconsin. Dress code is typical for a construction site environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bowling Green, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
