Why This Role Is ExcitingDo you enjoy designing real, physical products—and then seeing them used in the real world? We’re looking for a mechanically driven Product Engineer who loves hands‑on engineering, problem‑solving, and bringing ideas from concept to reality.
In this role, you’ll design and build electromechanical devices used by researchers worldwide, work directly with customers, and even travel internationally to install and support cutting‑edge equipment. If you’re energized by prototyping, testing, and owning products end‑to‑end, this role offers a rare mix of design, manufacturing, and customer impact.
What You’ll DoDesign and develop electromechanical products with a strong emphasis on mechanical systemsCreate detailed CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCADBuild, assemble, and test prototypes and production unitsImprove existing designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturabilityCollaborate with leadership, manufacturing partners, and cross‑functional teams to bring products to marketEvaluate electrical components and understand how electronics and firmware/software interact with mechanical designsProvide advanced technical support to customers, including troubleshooting complex issuesTravel internationally (primarily Europe, a few times per year) to:Install equipmentTrain usersPerform advanced on‑site troubleshootingHelp create scalable support solutions (e.g., FAQ videos, documentation) to reduce repetitive support requestsWhat We’re Looking ForRequired Skills & Experience
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field3+ years of hands‑on mechanical design experienceStrong proficiency in SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus)Comfort working with tools, prototypes, and small assembliesSolid understanding of mechanical design principles and product developmentAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑facing skillsWillingness to travel up to 15%, including international travelNice to Have

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
