Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description As a Project Engineer, you will oversee all engineering aspects of assigned projects, from concept through completion. You will act as a technical leader, collaborating with Project Managers, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications, adhere to schedule requirements, and remain within budget constraints. Responsibilities + Participate as a core member of cross-functional project teams, including Project Management, Purchasing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Field Operations. + Own and manage all engineering-related activities on assigned projects, such as engineering schedules, deliverables, design scope, change tracking, engineering budgets, and change orders. + Develop, review, and evaluate conveyor and material handling system designs. + Interface directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to review requirements and address questions. + Perform engineering design evaluations and execute project work under the direction of the Project Engineering Lead. + Review customer specifications and ensure designs adhere to all contractual and technical requirements. + Provide technical support throughout the engineering, fabrication, and installation phases. + Produce system and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and/or other approved drafting tools. + Review drawings produced by others for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards. Essential Skills + Experience in project management and project engineering. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of 3D CAD tools. + Ability to take initiative to drive projects and teams forward. + Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply creativity and sound judgment. + Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating work with other engineers is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline. + Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, preferably within the material handling or conveyor industry. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project schedules and delivery expectations. + Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams. + A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
