Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to oversee the delivery of HVAC and Black Utilities systems from the design phase through to specification, procurement, installation, and the final handover to CQV. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet all required safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage schedules, execution strategies, and resource planning for the HVAC & Black Utilities package.Coordinate with design teams, vendors, construction teams, QA, and end users to ensure alignment and timely execution of project tasks.Oversee FAT/SAT readiness and ensure all mechanical systems adhere to GMP, safety, and quality standards.Act as the Subject Matter Expert and primary point of contact for all process-related queries within the HVAC & Black Utilities scope.

Essential Skills

Expertise in construction, mechanical systems, and project engineering.Experience in project coordination and capital projects.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field.A minimum of 2 years of industry-specific experience.Proficiency in construction management, project management, HVAC systems, chilled water, steam, compressed air, and utility distribution.Knowledge in design and GMP environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in project management or a related field is a plus.Experience in the design and installation of HVAC and utility systems.Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget for capital projects.Familiarity with commissioning processes, balancing, and mechanical system turnover.Strong communication, coordination, and troubleshooting skills.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Worcester, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
