Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support major projects onsite in Boise, Idaho. The role involves providing project management support for Project Managers through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Collaboration with superintendents, foremen, engineers, detailers, and management is essential to deliver quality and profitable projects.

Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.Assist in the procurement process of major equipment and subcontracts.Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment and materials.Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contracts.Maintain and control documents in compliance with standards and contractual agreements.Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize, and schedule project work.Prepare fabrication shop work packages including detail drawing reviews, material take-offs, and man-hour fabrication budgets.Ensure full compliance with safety programs at the jobsite.Regular attendance and promptness.Develop an understanding of construction sequencing related to mechanical and plumbing scopes of work.

Qualifications

Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, One Drive, MS Teams, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Viewpoint Vista, Revit, Stratus.1+ years of experience as a project engineer overseeing HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical scopes of construction.Understanding of RFIs and ability to read and understand project plans related to mechanical scope.Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred.Previous construction field experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Knowledge of Bluebeam and Procore highly preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
