Project Engineer – Data Center Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI (On‑Site at Microsoft Data Center) Schedule: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction activities on a large-scale data center project. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission‑critical environment. You will assist with project planning, documentation, procurement, coordination, and field support to ensure the project stays aligned with specifications, safety standards, schedule milestones, and quality expectations. Responsibilities + Assist with reviewing and managing electrical construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders + Maintain organized logs and documentation to track project progress + Coordinate with vendors, engineers, GC/CM partners, and field supervisors + Support BIM/VDC efforts including model updates, clash resolution, and design modifications + Work with project teams on electrical constructability and design clarification + Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting + Support job billing, takeoffs, and estimation activities Essential Skills + Project management + Construction management + Project engineering + Electrical systems knowledge + RFI & change order management + Strong understanding of electrical drawings and construction practices + Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities + Ability to collaborate with field crews, engineering teams, and general contractors Preferred Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) + Experience in electrical contracting or electrical engineering + Experience with data centers, mission‑critical facilities, or large industrial projects + Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Work Environment + On‑site role at a Microsoft Data Center in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin + Fast‑paced, highly technical environment supporting mission‑critical electrical infrastructure Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
