The role entails ensuring the successful planning and execution of projects, portfolio financial management, adherence to standards, and alignment with business goals. Key duties include managing project lifecycles, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, leading teams, and risk assessment and mitigation, governance, and the realization of business benefits. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organization, developing and integrating large fast-paced project plans/critical paths, as well as working under tight timelines. This role will also be accountable for proactively identifying and mitigating risks as well as resolving issues that jeopardize program delivery. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **Project Management –** Lead in defining roles and responsibilities across the various teams, creating integrated project plans, and supporting in the adherence of the Enterprise Delivery Framework. Creation of integrated project plans and identifying critical paths, effectively communicating to executive sponsors, and proactively resolving and managing issues and risks. + **Stakeholder Management –** Build strong and collaborative relationships to support integrated delivery. Champion in the end-to-end execution of the payments portfolio, working closely with your team fostering collaboration to deliver on the payment’s roadmap and client journey vision. + **Collaboration –** Partner and collaborate closely with the Product Owners, subject matter experts, external stakeholders, and internal teams (e.g., Technology, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to plan and deliver the Payments portfolio of projects. + **People Leadership** – Guiding and developing a team to achieve project deliverables by setting vision, providing feedback and coaching, motivating team members, and fostering a positive work environment. Set goals, manage performance, communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and nurture team members' growth and well-being to ensure overall team and organizational success. + **Adaptive Project Management** –Demonstrate a proactive approach to overcoming challenges, and employing adaptive strategies to meet and exceed project milestones within the confines of demanding schedules. **Who you are** + **You can demonstrate experience.** 5+ years of portfolio and/or project management experience. Banking or payments sector experience is an asset.
