We are seeking a licensed Architect to lead projects and support project teams throughout all phases of design and construction. The Project Architect will be responsible for guiding work from early planning through construction administration, ensuring technical quality, design excellence, and smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects and staff across all phases of design and construction.Lead planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration efforts.Utilize Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Procore proficiently.Prepare or oversee technical specifications for publicly funded projects (preferred).Coordinate closely with contractors and consultants to manage RFIs, shop drawings, and site observations in a timely and organized manner.EducationProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch), or an approved alternative path to licensure.Certification & LicensingActive Architectural License (NCARB required).Additional certifications encouraged: AIA, CSI, LEED AP, WELL AP, CPTED.Experience10–15 years of professional architectural experience.Minimum 5 years in a Senior Project Management or comparable leadership role.Revit proficiency strongly preferred.Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑phase projects—particularly in education, civic, or higher‑education markets.Experience developing project fees, schedules, staffing plans, and contracts.Proven ability to balance design integrity, technical accuracy, and project performance.Additional RequirementsAbility to oversee multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining design quality and consistency.Established professional network in key markets (e.g., K–12, community colleges, civic, higher‑education).Collaborate with firm leadership on pursuit strategies, proposal development, and interview preparation.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.Active engagement in professional organizations (AIA, NOMA, etc.) encouraged.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
