Primary Responsibilities

The HDR Northern California Water Business Group is looking for a Project Delivery Leader to join our leadership team and help us develop and support our great project teams and clients. If you are a strong and experienced Project Manager and would like to help lead an amazing water program, this role may be for you
In the role of Project Delivery Leader, youwill serve as part of the NorCal Water Business Group Leadership team, help oversee project delivery, develop Project Management skills, assist the Business Group Manager in tracking project financials, assist other Project Managers with staffing and quality issues. Responsibilities will include:
Project management skills developmentProject management team organization and leadershipProject reviews, delivery oversight, financials, schedule, quality, and project staffingCoordinates with Area Market Sector Leader on technical staff assigned to projectsPossible MOA responsibilities delegated from BGMWorkshare managementStreamline Area project management processes (remove barriers to execution) Serve as a Champion for cross business group pursuits and initiatives Technical delivery program development participationServe as a PIC, Project Sponsor, Client Manager for select projects and clientsTechnical learning path development and mentoringCoordinate staffing with Area market sector / business class / Professional Services LeadersRecruitingAdditional activities may include:
Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects, involving a large project staffManage and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsWork with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager for project reviewsImplement QA/QC proceduresExecute training for personnel as established by strategic plansSupervise staff and act as mentor for Project ManagersPerform other duties as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field 10 years related experience A minimum of 5 years of project management experience Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management softwareMust have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
