Department Details:
Community & Social Health strives to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities by addressing factors impacting total health for our members, within our communities, and in public health systems across the nation. Partnering with public, nonprofit, and private sector entities to improve policies and systems; strengthening community organizations to improve access to quality support services in KP communities; and connecting patients to support services within and outside KP's system.
Internship Projects:
Provide support for the Medical-Legal Partnership programs in the markets outside of California, focusing on optimizing cross-functional coordination, advancing continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing internal communication platforms. By strengthening operational efficiency and communication across Community & Social Health, PMGs, and Medical Care Coordination, this work will improve care delivery, streamline patient access to social health interventions, and reinforce organizational efforts to address social determinants of health.
Target Majors:
Business Administration; Public Health
Target Skillset:
Organization, excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and other application such as Lucid, Adobe .pdf. Public Health background is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.

Additional Requirements:
+ Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
+ Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3.0 GPA or above.
+ Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
