Project Controls Coordinator
Job Description The Project Controls Coordinator will support both management and associates within the client’s Project Controls and Reporting department by developing, manipulating, and validating numerous data sets and reports. This work will be accomplished using Microsoft Office software (primarily Access and Excel) by running prepared Microsoft Access queries to update internal software, Oracle Primavera, and other software tools. The role involves significant QA/QC of data and requires strong analytical ability, technical competency, and excellent interpersonal skills. Daily responsibilities include: • Develop, verify, and maintain numerous large data sets/reports in support of client’s capital program cost & scheduling function • Run multiple Microsoft Access and SQL queries for checking & reporting data • Develop standard, procedurally based reports at on a regular basis • Update Oracle Primavera with resource assignments as requested • Prepare & shepherd project closeouts to conclusion • Manipulate, validate, and report data using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and skills • Perform QA/QC review on all outgoing data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with client standards • Collaborate with Project Control Specialists, Financial Analysts, and department management to troubleshoot & resolve data discrepancies in support of reporting deadlines • Develop & maintain process documentation and audit reporting • Support internal staff with process improvements & automation We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree • 3-5+ years of experience in data administration, reporting, or analytical support roles • Ability to work effectively, efficiently and professionally in a remote working context • Advanced Excel expertise (formulas, pivot tables, data validation, xlookups, VBA and efficient data manipulation) • Experience working with relational databases using Microsoft Access queries, including interpreting outputs and resolving errors • Strong analytical ability & technical competency with QA/QC focus to catch inconsistencies and ensure data accuracy • Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple reports and deadlines • Highly meticulous and detail-oriented with a process-driven approach to data management • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly and work well with technical and non-technical teams • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Financial or Data Management fields • Experience writing queries using Microsoft Access or SQL • Experience manipulating and reporting construction project cost and schedule data • Experience with Oracle Primavera or Microsoft Project scheduling software • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, and Microsoft SharePoint • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Visual Studio
