Job Description
As a Project Buyer, you will play a crucial role in purchasing across multiple lines, with the flexibility to focus on your preferred line. Your main responsibilities will involve working with spreadsheets, managing relationships with current vendors, and supporting various business lines, including sports stadiums and data centers. You will lead weekly procurement calls and engage in negotiations, comprising about 5 to 10% of your role.
Responsibilities
+ Manage purchasing activities across multiple lines with a focus on preferred industries.
+ Utilize spreadsheets to track and manage procurement data.
+ Maintain and confirm relationships with current vendors.
+ Lead weekly procurement calls and facilitate effective communication.
+ Conduct negotiations with vendors and external partners.
+ Support different business lines, such as sports stadiums and data centers.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in procurement with project management or account manager
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
+ Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to have hard conversations with vendors and external partners.
+ Capability to learn and manage every line of products.
Work Environment
You will work 60% in the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a flexible float day. The team consists of 17 people, with 4 focused on buying and 130 in the supply chain. The office is modern and offers hotel desks for those in 4 days a week or more. Amenities include a gym, lunch, and free coffee.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
