We are seeking a highly experienced Project Architect with 10+ years of professional practice to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings extensive public sector experience and is skilled in managing existing conditions documentation and design development across all project phases. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to produce high‑quality drawings and specifications, and proven capability in overseeing project administration and quality control from concept through construction closeout.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduce detailed construction documents and technical specifications for public bidding.Manage multiple deadlines and maintain progress according to established production schedules.Collaborate with internal design teams—including architects, engineers, designers, and technicians—along with external consultants, Construction Managers, and client representatives.Oversee quality control, budget adherence, and project timelines to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.Prepare design presentations, renderings, and documentation throughout all project phases.Lead construction administration efforts and monitor project execution through completion.Required Skills & Experience10+ years in public work, K–12, and higher education projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.Strong knowledge of construction documents, technical detailing, and construction administration.Proven project management capabilities.Solid understanding of public sector project requirements and processes.Preferred QualificationsBachelor of Architecture degree.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite.Strong design and graphic presentation skills; ability to work in SketchUp or similar modeling and visualization tools.Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.Self‑motivated, eager to continue learning, and able to work independently while managing multiple simultaneous deadlines.Experience interacting directly with clients and presenting design concepts.Work EnvironmentJoin a close‑knit, collaborative office of four employees.Fully in‑office role (Monday through Friday).Dynamic, team‑driven environment where each individual plays an essential role in project success and firm growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Albany, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
