As a Project Architect, you will take ownership of drawing sets, translating design intent into buildable documents. You will ensure technical success for projects, identify and address code issues, and develop a strategic approach for project drawings. You will oversee graphic communication to maintain clarity and legibility, develop details, and select appropriate materials. Additionally, you will manage technical specifications and lead the drawing efforts of team members, ensuring a coordinated approach with consultants. Your role will also involve construction administration, including reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to contractor inquiries, and resolving site issues.
ResponsibilitiesTranslate design intent into buildable documents.Oversee and ensure technical success of projects.Identify code issues and develop strategies for compliance.Maintain clarity and legibility in graphic communications.Manage delivery and mastery of technical specifications.Lead and coordinate drawing efforts of team members.Coordinate consultant drawings with architectural designs.Engage in construction administration and site issue resolution.Essential SkillsProficient in Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in K-12, Healthcare, or High-End Residential projects.Ability to plan and manage construction documents.Work EnvironmentThe office is located in downtown Grand Rapids, spanning two floors. One floor houses the production team and studio leads, while the other is dedicated to HR and events. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday in-office and remote work on Fridays, unless otherwise required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
