We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Architect. The ideal candidate should be a licensed architect or on track to become one, and will be a key player in design, coordination, and documentation efforts. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers across NJ and NY, working on projects that span across NY, NJ, and PA. A minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
ResponsibilitiesApply sound architectural and design techniques, methodology, and principles to all work products.Complete construction drawings using Revit.Demonstrate competency in preparing all phases of documentation.Generate finished plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing work assignments of each project team.Liaise with external consultants and engineers, incorporating engineering specifications with architectural design.Multi-task by working on a range of projects from new buildings to renovations and alterations.Develop programming documentation and preliminary designs as needed.Attend pre-proposal meetings and contribute input into the scope of work and services for new proposals.Act as a self-motivated and energetic leader, collaborating closely with others.Essential SkillsMust be able to produce construction drawings.100% proficient using Revit.Experience in healthcare, institutional, educational, or large-scale commercial projects.Proficient with AutoCAD.Understanding of construction drawings, documents, and details.Experience in schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction administration.Knowledge of wall sections, details, and construction drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsLicensed Architect or on track to becoming licensed.4-12 years of architectural experience, with experience in K-12 projects for SDA.Ability to manage technical aspects of projects from inception through completion.Experience with all project phases from concept through construction administration.Fully proficient with NJ and NY state and federal healthcare code compliance guidelines.Architectural Degree required.Work EnvironmentOur firm is located in Morristown and employs approximately 90 people between Morristown and NYC offices. We specialize in healthcare and institutional work, including K-12 and higher education projects. The office boasts a modern and collaborative environment. We offer a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office (Mondays and Wednesdays are core days) and flexibility based on project and team needs, promoting a strong work-life balance. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
