Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a creative and driven licensed Project Architect for our Asheville, NC office. This position affords a client-focused leadership opportunity with a growing team of multi-disciplinary professionals working on a diverse array of projects as well as an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate is experienced, highly motivated, detail oriented and exhibits a commitment to design excellence as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nLead project development, design and production throughout all phases of the project\nFacilitate client, consultant & contractor coordination and regulatory approval processes\nDevelopment, delegation and quality and budget control of all architectural deliverables\nBusiness development, proposal & contracts negotiations and fee generation\nIntegrated Revit modeling and related project document development including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, code analyses and specifications\nEnsure project quality and consistency for profitability and client retention \nAttend meetings with clients, consultants & contractors, and make regular project visits\nWork collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project team across multiple offices\nCultivate and manage new business relationships to support growth in Western NC\nRepresent Summit at industry events, conferences, and professional society meetings\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nProfessional Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution \nLicensed Architect in North Carolina (required)\n5-8 years of relevant professional experience\nDisplayed experience independently managing and producing architectural projects\nDisplayed experience in design, detailing, building systems, codes and construction techniques\nDisplayed experience managing clients, consultants and project budgets\nDisplayed experience with architectural practice and project delivery\nHigh proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe CS and MS-office\nStrong creative, problem-solving and technical skills\nExcellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as within a virtual setting.\nValid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.\n\n
