Project Administrator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Administrator to support our Geotechnical Project Managers in ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to scope. This position combines responsibilities in project management, administration, cost management, and schedule management, specifically for AEC Geotechnical Engineering Projects.
Responsibilities
Assist with cost analysis, budget monitoring, forecasting, variance detection, project tracking, and project permitting to ensure contract compliance.Set up and maintain projects in Deltek, including managing phases, billing rates, labor categories, multipliers, and contract types.Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls across multiple active AEC projects, particularly in Geotechnical Engineering.Work with Project Managers to prepare and process accurate client invoices, including Time & Materials, Fixed Fee, and Percent Complete billing.Review project performance metrics such as utilization, realization, WIP, and backlog with Geotechnical Project Managers.Analyze project variances and collaborate with project managers to address scope changes, overruns, and budget adjustments.Support monthly close processes, including revenue recognition, WIP adjustments, and project reconciliations.Ensure billing and revenue recognition comply with contract terms and firm accounting policies.Maintain accurate project documentation to support internal and external audits.Assist with reporting, dashboards, and process improvements to enhance project visibility and financial accuracy.Essential Skills
3-10 years of experience in project administration or cost controls within the AEC industry, ideally in Geotechnical Engineering.Proficiency in Deltek or similar AEC-specific project management and profitability tracking software.Strong understanding of the AEC industry including project tracking, cost control, project schedules, and permitting.Experience with AIA or government-funded project tracking and coordination.Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control.Strong skills in financial reporting, construction management, and cost analysis.Additional Skills & Qualifications

This is an in-office role with the potential for some remote flexibility, possibly one day per week. The position requires close collaboration with the Geotechnical Team to assist project managers in keeping projects on track.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roswell, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
