Job Title: Project Accounting Coordinator
Job Description
As a Project Accounting Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in preparing fee proposal templates, drafting contracts and subcontracts for review, ensuring projects adhere to contract language and requirements, and developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Project Authorization forms. You will assist project managers with processing subconsultant invoices and monitor project financials, including variance, revenue, budgets, and work-in-progress (WIP). You will serve as a liaison between internal staff, suppliers, and clients, conduct pre-bill reviews, and participate in monthly project review meetings. Your analytical skills will be utilized to assist Business Operations with project budget performance analysis.
Responsibilities
Prepare fee proposal templates and draft contracts and subcontracts for review.Ensure adherence to contract language and requirements, and manage project amendment documentation.Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Project Authorization forms, including budgets and client invoicing requirements.Assist project managers with the processing of subconsultant invoices through the project accounting system.Monitor project financials, including variance, revenue, budgets, and WIP, and follow up on revenue variance issues.Serve as a liaison between internal staff, suppliers, and clients, communicating effectively on behalf of Project Managers.Conduct pre-bill reviews with Project Managers as necessary.Participate in monthly project review meetings and collaborate with Business Operations teams.Assist Business Operations with analysis of project budget performance and provide recommendations for financial improvement.Essential Skills
3+ years of experience entering invoices, drafting contracts and subcontracts, and preparing proposal templates.3+ years of experience in change orders.Experience working for an engineering or architectural firm with revenue over $150 million.Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.Proficiency in Deltek, BST, or Oracle.Qualifications
Experience with Deltek VantagePoint.Part of an ERP implementation, preferably Vantagepoint.Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment with a great company culture. Please note that candidates must not be based on the West Coast.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
