Description
General:
Responsible for working with Project Managers to develop and maintain multiple project budgets, forecasting future costs and identifying potential costs overruns.Analyzing project expenses incurred, including labor, materials and overhead costs to ensure accuracy of expense coding.Analyzing project expenses to evaluate areas for cost savings (ie. Vendor contracts, bulk purchasing, etc.)Preparation of detailed financial reports on project performance, including profit and loss statements, variance analysis and key metrics on a monthly basis.Reviewing project contracts and ensuring proper revenue recognition and determination of all financial obligations.Investigating and explaining significant deviations from project budgets and providing process improvements for corrective actions.Assisting in the calculation of annual target labor rates and analyzing estimates to actuals on a quarterly basis.Providing feedback to sales and contract negotiation team members on budget line items needing cost updates.Assist in preparation of Board reporting and analysis, as requested for Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and / or Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”).Commissions calculation and reporting, on a monthly basis.Serve as Acumatica Project Module subject matter expert and aid in training of other departments in use of the system.Support of internal and external customer inquiries.Drives the formulation, analysis, and execution of project budgeting procedures and processes.Assist with the annual insurance renewals, annual financial audit, and budget preparation with the CFO.Perform other tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by Vice President of Construction, CFO, CEO.Skills

Required:
4-6 years work experience in a Project Accountant, Project Controller, Financial Planning & Analyst, Cost Accountant, or similar role. Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.ERP Accounting system experience required.Experience with project management software.Extremely strong MS Office skills – MUST be intermediate to advance in MS Excel.Solid understanding of GAAP accounting (ASC 606 included).Solid understanding of accounting processes (A/R, A/P, and General Ledger).Excellent written/oral communication skills.Strong analytical skills to identify trends and interpret financial data.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain best in class practices with an eye toward automation and continuous improvement to drive efficiency.Ability to work independently, as well as with a team, to prioritize tasks.Strong organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines accurately and consistently in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.Preferred:

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
