Responsibilities
Take responsibility for client invoicing, collections management, and project budgetingOversee project budgets and provide backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reportsConduct accurate contract documentation, administration and maintenance including fee structures and budget entriesWork with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issuesCoordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsAssist with the preparation of project documentationGuide and support junior project accountants as needed.Essential Skills & Experience
5+ years of Project Accounting experienceExperience with project costing, budgeting, and codingExperience with complex invoicingFamiliarity with Earned Value Management principles.Experience w/ contract review and contract complianceAdvanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)Additional Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.Industry experience in Architecture/Design is highly preferred.Experience in drafting subcontracts and tracking deliverables.Systems savvy – Oracle experience preferredExperience in leading or mentoring team membersWork Environment
The role is based in a corporate office in Irvine, situated in a two-story building with an open concept and management offices.
The position starts fully onsite, with the possibility to earn up to two remote days once established.
The company is 100% employee-owned, offering performance based stock options.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $47.12/hr.
