About This Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Camp Director, you will be responsible for work as a team to provide program at each of the sites Monday through Friday.

 

Position Specifics

 

Responsibilities:

                         

Hours: Programming specialist work as a team to provide program at each of the sites Monday through Friday. The time slots are part of an overall day on the camp schedule. Therefore, programming runs alongside mealtimes, down time and waterfront activities.Meals: For summer camp season each campsite is scheduled to host the staff for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Breakfast is usually served at the site closest to waterfront for all the staff. Then programming may eat on the site they are closest to at the lunch hour. Evenings are usually a mix of taking turns at each site. It is a very fun time for the staff to interact with the campers. Rainy Days: Program staff are still responsible to be with the campers at their scheduled time, no matter what the weather.It is often the program staff that is part of the weekly central campfire in combination with the waterfront and counsellors. This is once during the week where all campers gather together at the central campfire site for evening campfire.

 

 

General

 

Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.Apply organizational policies regarding diversity, inclusivity and equity to content, member communication and customer service.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

 

 

Be at least 18 years of age or provincial/territorial minimum age standard.Current Standard First Aid Must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of all Safe Guide procedures and have a knowledge of Excel

 

Hourly Salary Range: $16.60
