WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position is responsible for the successful delivery of large, complex programs in support of CNB’s US Mortgage Banks (USMB) key mortgage strategy. This role is pivotal in overseeing and coordinating multiple projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of mortgage processes, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
The Program Manager will also assess the health of the project(s) by monitoring performance metrics, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes. They will lead change management initiatives to improve processes and implement new technologies and provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?Manage and drive the delivery of large complex programs and projects across USMB in collaboration with cross-functional lines of business stakeholders, technology, RBC, various Lines of Defense (LOD) levels, Marketing and more as required.Lead impacted areas to clearly document business requirements that address the desired outcomes from process and technological solutions.Ensure Colleague Readiness activities are documented to create/update procedures, training, and communication plans.Coordinate activities closely with UAT Test Leads to ensure User Acceptance Testing scripts and plans are documented and defects are escalated as needed.Work within a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with the ability to flex as needed.Develop project status updates that are tailored to meet the needs of the audience, clearly articulating status, needs, and next steps.Deliver project status updates to all levels (up and down) including executives with the ability to present unfavorable or challenging information.Lead and facilitate high-level meetings for program plan requirements and develop schedules and milestone measurements.Manage the implementation and/or support of technology applications that support the USMB strategy.Accountable to program stakeholders and senior management for schedule, budget, quality and outcome of all program elements.Communication liaison with key stakeholders, coordinating and holding periodic briefings/status updates.Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.Understand cross-program dependencies.Adhere to CNB Project Management Guidelines and delivery methodologies when applicableComplies fully with all Bank Operational policies and procedures and completes all required training.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Required Qualifications*Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMinimum 7 years of experience in managing PMO functions and/or end-to-end complex change programs independently with multi-department/Line of Business impact.Minimum 7 years banking/financial services and/or technology industry experience Additional QualificationsProven experience in program management within the mortgage or financial services industry.Strong understanding of mortgage products, lending processes, and regulatory environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is highly desirable.Knowledge of compliance standards such as RESPA, TILA, and HMDA.Management Consulting background highly preferredUnderstands full project lifecycle, can assess impacts, including people, process and technology, manage scope/schedule/risks and deliver project resultsCan drive organizational change and understands how to structure program governance and reporting at the portfolio levelCan think strategically and effectively manage relationships with business partnersStrong executive presentation skills and ability to influence business decisions in alignment with strategic goals/objectivesExperience with Commercial and Consumer lending highly preferredExperience in structured analysis, strategy, problem-solving and critical thinkingExpert with the MS Office Suite with a focused ability to create concise and compelling presentations (Project Plans in MS Project, Presentations in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc).Must have strong business savvy with good diplomacy skills in order to influence and be effective with senior executives.Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsExceptional leadership, coaching and negotiation skills.Scheduling and budgeting experience.Demonstrated ability to solve problems and exercise solid judgmentDemonstrated ability to communicate with highly technical as well as functional partnersMust be extremely knowledgeable with bank-wide strategic plans and direction.Must be extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of project methodology (including waterfall and Agile), various project management tools and techniques across all program and project activities
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?CompensationStarting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
