Description Manages, develops and coordinates outreach and public relations programming, adds new sites and extends marketing, physician liaison and patient relationsPlans, administers and monitors the department's capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets; regularly reviews year to date expenditures; and takes corrective action as necessaryTracks budget against business plan and ensures compliance with fiscal constraintsIncreases department's profitabilityManages staff and employee performanceResolves Human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs, interviews and hires staffProvides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skillsDetermines disciplinary, termination and salary actionsMonitors workflowDevelops departmental short and long term goals and objectivesAnalyzes departmental strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraintsMeets with other staff members to discuss progress and to develop future courses of actionDevelops and manages programs and projects; analyzes business objectives according to business planWorks with manager to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational in-services as appropriateParticipates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developmentsCollects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports that track program's growth and improvement for management and/or regulatory agenciesDevelops and facilitates effective meetings as necessaryPerforms other related duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related fieldThree years tertiary hospital or program development and planning experiencePrevious management background including envisioning and coordinating successful programs well received by patients and referring physicians is importantPositions in the Heart Center prefer expertise in heart programming
