Our client, a non-profit organization located in Harlem, seeks a temp to perm Program Manager to join their team! Working closely with senior leaders of the organization, the Program Manager plays a central role in designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that advance our mission. This position manages day‑to‑day program operations, supports cross‑departmental coordination, and ensures that our initiatives are executed with excellence, integrity, and impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong project manager, and someone who thrives in values‑driven, fast‑moving environments. This is a hybrid role - current schedule is T, W, Th onsite, M and F remote (subject to change). The standard daily hours are 10am-6pm (flexibility for OT when there are events or if the team is travelling). This role starts ASAP with an estimated temp trial period of 3 months. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 (commensurate with experience). Hourly pay rate while temping in-line.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Program Management & Implementation
Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of assigned programs and initiativesDevelop project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high‑quality implementationCoordinate logistics for events, workshops, convenings, and community engagement activities Monitor program progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet goals
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and collaboratorsRepresent the organization in meetings, coalitions, and public‑facing spacesSupport outreach efforts to ensure programs reach intended audiencesFacilitate communication and alignment across partners and internal teams
Data, Evaluation & Reporting
Track program metrics and outcomes to assess effectivenessPrepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholdersContribute to grant reporting and proposal development by providing program data and narrativesCross‑Team Collaboration
Work closely with communications, operations, and development teams to support program visibility and sustainabilityCoordinate with finance and operations to ensure program budgets, contracts, and compliance needs are metSupport organizational learning by sharing insights, challenges, and best practices.

Ensure program design and implementation reflect the organization's social justice valuesContribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and careEngage in ongoing learning related to equity, anti‑racism, and movement‑aligned practices
The Ideal Candidate should have:
Familiarity with organization's programs and initiatives Previous work experience with a non-profit or social justice organizationA minimum of 3+ years of experience in program management, community engagement, advocacy, or related workStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfort with digital tools and platforms (e.g., project management software, CRM systems) Familiarity with program evaluation, data tracking, or impact measurement Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with diverse communities and a demonstrated commitment to social justice Experience with event planning or community organizing Ability to build relationships, facilitate collaboration, and navigate complex stakeholder environments Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
