Program Manager
Job Description SummaryThe Program Manager is responsible for leading the cross-functional team through the decision-making, planning and execution of the program/project. Expected to lead the team by listening to all functional interests with consensus decisions/trade-offs including impact to value proposition with active participation across the Program Core Team; ensuring that all commitments to quality, scope and timing are based on appropriate work planning with adequate cross-functional resource commitment.

Job Description

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Driving effective communication across businesses and functionsDriving product planning and multi-generational product/platform roadmap executionWorking with the Business Team and program Core Team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive featuresCross-functional project execution leadership including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field deliveryWorking closely with Product Definition team in order to drive product directionWorking with customers to solicit product feedback and leading cross-functional teams to drive customer support

Quality Specific Goals:

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual,Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/positionComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as requiredDrive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approvingDesign Control FDRs and NPI program milestonesIdentify continuous improvement activities by initiating the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science disciplineProven experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development or research environmentDemonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ’sDemonstrated experience driving variable cost productivity (VCP) and Inventory Carrying Value (ICV) reduction to enable optimized product marginsDemonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field, including project leadership experience within manufacturing, development, or research development)Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment productsSound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology areaDemonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycleStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent knowledge in engineering, program management and business planning processes having experience with the full product lifecycleSelf-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-taskDemonstrated problem solving ability and results orientationDemonstrated LEAN skills
