Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Program Manager 2, located in Nagoya Japan.

This expat position will include other compensatory fringes such as Cost-of-Living Allowances, Housing Allowances, and other allowances for employment in Nagoya, Japan.

The Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI) team has an opportunity for a motivated member to join our growing team. GPI is a new development product offering exciting opportunities and unique problem-solving challenges.

Team members work in multi discipline integrated product teams (IPTs) on a variety of electrical, mechanical, and propulsion subsystems and components on the interceptor. As part of the GPI team, you will contribute to the development of a new capability to the war fighter.

The in-country program manager will interface with the Chandler, AZ office and the GPI Cooperative Development partner to coordinate technical information exchange with their Engineering staff, support local supplier development effort, and ensure adherence to export compliance policies.

Essential Functions:

Support Japanese Cooperative Development Partner by facilitating guidance from Chandler Engineering groupsBecome a trusted resource to Japanese Cooperative Development PartnerAssist Cooperative Development Partner with technical and schedule performance progressProtect NGC interests with respect to Export Compliance responsibilitiesWork with Japanese Cooperative Development Partner to evaluate suppliers and assist with monitoring supplier status/progress to achieve program needs

Basic Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 4 years of related engineering experienceActive in scope US DoD Secret security clearance, or higher at time of applicationAbility to live/work in Nagoya JapanJapanese Language fluencyInterpersonal skills suitable to Japan Business Culture5 years’ experience managing multi-disciplinary teamsKnowledge of GPI system requirements – understanding of background, and rationaleUnderstanding of Interceptor system/architecture, or similarExport compliance familiarity

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
