Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Program Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Advanced Mission Capabilities (AMC) Integrated Program Team (IPT) under the Multi-Domain Command & Control (MDC2) Division. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The AMC IPT is responsible to the Multi-Domain Command & Control (MDC2) Programs Vice President for program cost, schedule, performance, and quality in all aspects of managing the AMC programs. The AMC programs for this position include emerging technology and the applicability to the E-2D mission. Additionally, the PM2 will provide oversight for long standing programs bringing enhancements to the E-2D. A Program Manager with strong technical or Navy E-2 operational background is desired. A background in engineering is optimal but not mandatory.
This key position includes the following responsibilities:
Act as primary customer contact and monitors program activities, including cost, schedule, and technical performanceCultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer communityProvide leadership, management, guidance, and oversight for personnelParticipate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changesIdentify program problems and obtains solutions, allocate resources, and recommend changes/updates to contractual requirements leading a multi-disciplined IPTCoordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of the contractPrepare presentations and presents program reviews with both internal and external customersEstablish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specificationsResolve issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policiesLead the team in the execution of the program by providing clear assignments and direction, maintaining close communication, and getting the team the support needed to perform with successEnsure program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activitiesDevelopment and adherence to master plans and schedulesConduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realizationOur Leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined belowRelated experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts and/or business management related functionsActive DoD Secret Security Clearance last investigated within 6 years or enrolled in continuous evaluationWilling and able to travel up to 25% of the time as required by business needsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certificationKnowledge of Northrop Grumman internal processes, procedures, and organizationPrimary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $202,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
