Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a **Director, Program Management** for our **Advanced Programs Portfolio to** lead the execution of a large variety of programs within our Propulsion Systems Division in **Promontory** **Utah** . **Role Description & Responsibilities:** The **Director,** **Program Management** will be responsible for the strategy, growth, and execution of all programs in Advanced Programs. The Director will lead a team of program managers to successfully execute and deliver expected financial, technical, and schedule achievements for a $100M+ (annual sales) portfolio. **Job Duties:** **Leadership** + Lead a diverse team of program + Display strategic vision to seek and capture new business + Recognize the importance of culture both at an individual and organizational level and with demonstrated commitment to and success in individual employee and broader organizational development + Demonstrate a sense of urgency, ownership of tasks, and accountability **Program Execution** + Execute programs successfully by managing safety, quality, schedule, technology and cost (P&L responsibility) + Continuously drive for results and challenge the status quo + Have the capacity to understand people issues impacting the business + Have proven ability to influence others **Company-Customer Interface** + Represent Northrop Grumman as a company (bringing the Northrop Grumman message to the customer; and integrating knowledge of the spectrum of Northrop Grumman capabilities with understanding of customer needs to promote Northrop Grumman) + Service the customer (executing the program and resolving issues in accordance with business objectives, strategy, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies) + Balance the interests of the customer, Northrop Grumman, and employees **Program Team Management** + Provide overall leadership and direction to the program teams (to include coaching team members, resolving conflict, reviewing performance, and initiating corrective actions, if necessary) + Direct the performance of program functions (such as contract, finance, and manufacturing) + Possess the proven ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively + Set role and performance expectations, and provide ongoing feedback and performance appraisals + Ensuring program team understands & adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities **Schedule Management** + Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones. + Meet master program plans and schedules (identifying and assessing risks, and initiating necessary corrective action) **Financial Performance** + Meet or exceed Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments for Awards, Sales, Operating Margin, & Cash + Manage Budgets and update monthly performance review for the customer + Present bi-monthly performance to customers + Forecast financial performance + Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation & realization. **Contract Structure & Pricing** + Manage contract negotiations, endorse final price and contract terms and resolve contract issues **Technical Performance** + Drive technical excellence (by setting program standards, working closely with technical team, balancing risk, and delivering performance) **Business Development** + Leverage existing programs to win new business + Direct proposal preparation (to ensure it meets Northrop Grumman business strategy, is compliant, responds to customer needs, and provides a proper base for successful negotiations and program performance) **Education/Certifications** + Bachelors in Engineering or Technical Discipline **Experience Requirements:** + 10 years of experience with BS or 8 years of experience with MS. + Previous relevant experience working rocket motor cost reimbursable environments. + Familiar with the requirements of producing military products under government contracts and understanding of supplier/customer relationships. + Understanding of the military strike weapon market and the impact of the product on the market. + Demonstrated leadership skills and experience. **Preferred Skills & Qualifications:** + Program Execution + Managing rapid pace military system developments + Knowledge of the Department of Defense organization + Understanding of the Defense Acquisition processes + General knowledge of financial systems + Experience managing discretionary budgets (IRAD, B&P, Marketing, Capital) + Experience running proposals and delegations Salary Range: $187,700.00 - $281,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
