As a Program Management Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be responsible for the analysis and execution of financial accounting architecture changes, supporting Financial Control, Asset Class Control, and Product Control. The projects range from production remediations and industry/LOB initiatives to large-scale, multi-year strategic initiatives to replace entire product systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide and document detailed accounting requirements for debt instruments according to US and local GAAP. This includes accounting calculations, where requiredLiaise with Financial Controllers, Asset Class Controllers, Product Controllers, and other interested parties to ensure other requirements are addressedPartner with Technology throughout the duration of the project to ensure build meets finance requirementsWrite and execute UAT test cases; participate in E2E, production parallel and conversion testingEnsure strategic infrastructure design meets Finance Principles and Big Rules establishedAnalyze controls to ensure the strategic infrastructure operates within a solid control environment- including identifying any opportunities for process and control improvementsMaintain project plan and tracker as required
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment. Understanding of the securities trade lifecycleStrong analytical and problem solving skills including root cause analysis and ability to provide solutionsStrong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skillsAttention to detail and ability to work independentlyOrganized and self-motivatedStrong multitasking and prioritizing skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups). MS PowerPoint and MS WordPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Knowledge of key Finance systems and processes, including MIS and GLPrior experience performing requirement analysis, partnering with Technology teams, and UAT managementPrior experience on tools like Alteryx, Tableau 2-4 years finance or accounting experience (fixed income securities experience preferred)
