Program Director
Job Description We are seeking a very high-level Program Director to oversee a large project for our client. This is solely dedicated to this firm's specific client under their Programmatic delivery model for high customer satisfaction. The Program Director leads large and complex programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget, while driving quality and customer satisfaction. This role provides strategic oversight, governance, and leadership across interrelated projects, mentoring project managers and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Success requires strong executive communication, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership: Define program vision, governance, and communication strategies; influence executive stakeholders. - Program Delivery: Oversee scope, timelines, budgets, and resources; ensure alignment with organizational objectives. - Risk & Change Management: Develop mitigation strategies, manage dependencies, and lead organizational change initiatives. - Performance Oversight: Track KPIs, financials, and quality metrics; ensure compliance with best practices and standards. - Team Development: Mentor project managers, promote knowledge sharing, and build high-performing teams. - Executive Reporting: Present program status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and clients. This role is able to operate remotely but will require some travel for stakeholder meetings. We are offering a pay rate of 90-100/hr. This is a 6-month contract with a likely extension up to 2 years. Skills and Requirements - 10+ years in program/project management with leadership experience in complex, multi-technology programs. - Specific PM Experience in Network Operations or Cisco - Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams. - Expertise in program governance, risk management, and process improvement methodologies. - PMP certification required; - Strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. - Proficient with smart sheet Six Sigma preferred.
